FAQs

A Paid Search report should include metrics categorized by visibility (impressions, reach), engagement (click-through rate, average session duration), and conversion (conversion rate, cost per conversion). The data should be segmented by campaign, channel (search, display), audience (age, location), content (keyword, ad group), objective (brand awareness, lead generation), and date. For example, a report may include a breakdown of impressions by campaign, click-through rate by channel, conversion rate by audience, and cost per conversion by content.
To analyze Paid search data, the following steps can be taken: 1) Choose metrics: – Visibility metrics: Impressions, click-through rate (CTR), average position. – Engagement metrics: bounce rate, time on site, pages per session. – Conversion metrics: conversion rate, cost per conversion, return on ad spend (ROAS). 2) Add context: – Compare against cost: Evaluate cost per click (CPC), cost per thousand impressions (CPM), cost per conversion. – Compare against date range: Analyze performance over different time periods. – Compare against goals: Compare metrics to predetermined goals or targets. – Compare against rates: Analyze click-through rate, conversion rate, bounce rate in comparison to industry benchmarks. 3) Segment data: – Campaign: Compare metrics for different campaigns or ad groups. – Channel: Analyze performance on search vs. display network. – Audience: Compare metrics for different audience segments. – Content: Analyze performance for different ad creatives or landing pages. – Objective: Compare metrics for different campaign objectives (e.g., brand awareness vs. lead generation). – Date: Compare performance for specific dates or date ranges (e.g., weekends vs. weekdays). Examples: – Visibility: The campaign A achieved 10,000 impressions with a CTR of 3% and an average position of 2.5. – Engagement: The bounce rate for ad group B was 50%, with an average time on site of 2 minutes and 4 pages per session. – Conversion: Campaign C achieved a conversion rate of 5%, with a cost per conversion of $50 and an ROAS of 400%. Note: The analysis focuses on the elements of the report without explicitly mentioning their benefits.
To build a Paid Search dashboard, 1) connect your Google Ads and Analytics accounts to gather data. 2) Select metrics such as click-through rate, cost per click, and conversion rate to monitor performance. 3) Segment data by campaign, channel, audience, product, customer content, objective, and date to understand the effectiveness of each element. 4) Add filters or buttons for metrics like keywords, ad groups, and geographic locations to make your report interactive. 5) Share your dashboard via PDF, scheduled emails, or links for easy access and review.
