Step 1: First, head to the Porter Metrics website homepage.

Step 2: Then, click the Make A Report button on the top left of the homepage.

Step 3: Next, select the connector you would like to use. We will then redirect you to Data Studio.

Step 4: Click Authorize to connect to your Data Studio account.

 

We use Facebook Insights for this tutorial, but you can select any provider from the list. Simply choose “Instagram Insights.”

Step 5: Enter your Instagram Insights Credentials & Authorize the Connection: In the next step, you’ll need to provide your Instagram Insights credentials to access all your data. This includes your Business Account Name as well as other requirements.

Step 6: In this step, you’ll need to choose an Insights page. This example will use one of the Insights pages. So, pick it from the list, tick the boxes, and click on the “Connect” button.

Step 7: The following button brings you to a place where you can see all your data and edit your connection. Here you’ll be able to see your table, rows, and columns and will be able to modify data if you wish to

Step 8: Once you proceed into the next stage, you’ll most likely be greeted by an empty dashboard if you connected via a connector. You’ll see something like the one below, where you can add marketing data and develop your dashboard on your own.
