How to set up the web analytics dashboard in Claude
You need a GA4 property, the Search Console property for the same site, a free Porter account and Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise for Claude Dashboards. Setup takes about 10 minutes.
Connect GA4 and Search Console in Porter
Sign up free at Porter, open Data sources and connect Google Analytics 4, then Google Search Console for the same website. The GA4 to Claude tutorial and the Search Console to Claude tutorial show each click.

Pick the GA4 property Claude can read, then add Search Console the same way. Add Porter to Claude
In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp and name it Porter Metrics. Click Continue, then sign in to Porter and allow access.

In Claude: Customize, Connectors, Add custom connector, then paste Porter’s MCP URL Paste the install prompt
Open a new chat in Claude, paste this prompt and replace the site in brackets with your own. Claude queries both sources through Porter and builds the dashboard.
Install promptDuplicate this Claude dashboard template and keep its layout, views and styling: https://claude.ai/artifact/YUQNEhahdULXNxAaJLTgJS Then rebuild it with my own data through Porter: a website analytics dashboard for [site] from GA4 and Search Console, last 14 days vs the 14 before: KPI cards for views, sessions, active users, engagement rate and key events; daily sessions and views; the latest day vs the same weekday last week by device category and country; top pages by views with active users and scrolled users; views by site section; and landing pages with sessions, engagement rate on mobile and desktop and key events. If my plan reads more than 15 days, add pages losing Search Console clicks three months in a row and a report vs the previous period and last year.

- Views234.7K+8.6%
Rising faster than sessions means more pages per visit. Check which section gained.
- Sessions90,281+6.5%
Two weeks below the dashed line is a trend, not noise. Check device and country first.
- Active users68,940+5.9%
A growing gap over new users means more people come back.
- Engagement rate58.3%+1.2 pts
Landing pages far below the rest lose visitors at the door. Bars: top landing pages.
- Key events3,235+9.6%
Pages with sessions and no key events need a clearer next step, not more traffic.

What makes this web analytics dashboard different
What you get that GA4’s pages report and a Search Console export don’t show side by side.
Ask what changed on a page
See a landing page lose engagement, then ask Claude which device or source caused it.
See search clicks next to page visits
Each page shows Search Console clicks beside GA4 views, so you tell a ranking problem from a page problem.
Group pages your way
Ask Claude to group pages by folder or product line, without content groups in GA4.
Send the site report on your logo
Publish it in Porter and email it to your team or client on the day you choose.
Share it without GA4 access
Anyone with the Porter link sees the numbers, without a seat in your GA4 property.
