Report on StackAdapt from your favorite AI chat

Porter Metrics connects StackAdapt to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI clients through one MCP server built for programmatic reporting. MCP is the Model Context Protocol, the open standard AI apps use to reach other tools. Ask which channel converts cheapest, which campaign group spends without results or what each client paid in fees, and the answer comes from live StackAdapt data.

Channels and delivery

  • Every channel in one answer: Cost, Impressions, Clicks, CTR and eCPM by Campaign Channel, so native, display, video and CTV sit side by side.
  • Four levels: Advertiser, Campaign Group, Campaign and Ad, one level per question.
  • Reach and frequency: Unique Impressions and Frequency show when a campaign over-serves the same people.
  • Status at a glance: Campaign State and Ad State show what’s active, paused or ended.

Conversions and ROAS

  • Cost per result: Conversions, eCPA and ROAS by channel, campaign group or campaign.
  • Click vs view-through: Click Conversions next to Impression Conversions, so you see how much of a result rests on a view.
  • Revenue you track: Conversion Revenue and ROAS for campaigns that pass a value.
  • Site visits StackAdapt attributes: GA4 Sessions, GA4 Engaged Sessions and GA4 Bounce Rate next to spend.

Video, audio and CTV

  • Completion: Video Completion Rate and Audio Completion Rate by ad.
  • Quartiles: Video Q1, Q2 and Q3 Playbacks show where viewers drop off.
  • Viewability: Measured Impressions next to Viewed Measured Impressions, per campaign or ad.

Fees and margins for agencies

  • Fee lines: CPD Media Cost, Ad Serving, Targeting, Viewability Fee and Enterprise Features per advertiser.
  • Billing view: Revenue, Profit, Margins and rCPM next to Cost.
  • One currency per row: every amount comes in the advertiser’s own Currency, so totals never mix currencies.

Every metric and dimension Porter reads is in the StackAdapt fields list.

StackAdapt next to your marketing

Reports and alerts

  • Live dashboards: one hosted link that stays current, with nothing to export.
  • Scheduled delivery: a dashboard emailed to you or a client on the day and hour you pick.
  • Weekly summary: which channels moved, which campaigns slipped and what to check next, written in the chat.

Security and trust

Safety and security

Porter’s StackAdapt MCP reads your advertisers through an API key and changes nothing in StackAdapt. Claude reads campaigns, fees and results while budgets, bids and targeting stay exactly as you set them. You pick the advertisers Claude sees, and you can remove the key from Porter whenever you like.

Safe for live campaigns

Every StackAdapt question is a report. New campaigns, budget changes and pauses stay in StackAdapt, where your team handles them as usual.

An API key from your account team

StackAdapt issues API keys through its team rather than a self-serve page, per StackAdapt’s API docs. You paste the key in Porter once, and Claude talks to Porter instead of StackAdapt.

You choose the advertisers

One key can reach many advertisers. You tick the ones Claude should read, and each one becomes its own Porter account.

Reporting priced per advertiser

Reporting is billed per connected StackAdapt advertiser. One more question about the same advertiser adds nothing to the bill.

Revoke access anytime

Remove the key in Porter, or ask your StackAdapt account team to rotate it, and Porter’s access ends. Add a new key later to connect again.

Setup

How to set up StackAdapt MCP

Porter’s StackAdapt MCP uses one server URL in every AI client, plus a StackAdapt API key you add once. Claude takes Porter as a plugin or a custom connector. ChatGPT takes it through the Porter Metrics app or developer mode. Both read the same StackAdapt advertisers, with the same 98 fields.

StackAdapt skills

Each StackAdapt skill in Porter’s MCP is a ready-made prompt for one question programmatic buyers ask every week. A skill turns live StackAdapt data into a channel ranking, a fee review, a cross-channel answer or a scheduled email. Copy a prompt into Claude or ChatGPT, then change the dates, advertisers or thresholds to fit yours.

Reporting skills

Connection test

List my StackAdapt advertisers, then show Cost, Impressions, Clicks, CTR and Conversions by Campaign for the last 7 days, with each advertiser’s Currency.

Cheapest channel

For the last 30 days, by Campaign Channel and Currency, show Cost, Impressions, eCPM, Clicks, CTR, Conversions and eCPA. Rank channels by eCPA.

Spend without results

For the last 14 days, for campaigns with Campaign State ACTIVE, by Campaign Group and Campaign, show Cost, Conversions, Click Conversions, Impression Conversions, eCPA and ROAS. Flag the five campaigns with the highest Cost and the fewest Conversions.

Video and CTV drop-off

For last month, for Campaign Channel Video and CTV, by Ad, show Impressions, Video Starts, Video Q1 Playbacks, Video Q2 Playbacks, Video Q3 Playbacks, Video Completions, Video Completion Rate, Cost and eCPV. Show where each ad loses most viewers.

Over-serving check

For the last 30 days, by Campaign, show Impressions, Unique Impressions, Frequency, Cost and Conversions. Flag campaigns whose Frequency is above 8 without more Conversions.

Viewability by campaign

For the last 30 days, by Campaign, show Measured Impressions, Viewed Measured Impressions, Viewability Fee and Cost. Calculate the viewable share and rank campaigns lowest first.

Fees and margins

For last month, one row per Advertiser with its Currency, show Impressions, Cost, CPD Media Cost, Ad Serving, Targeting, Viewability Fee, Enterprise Features, Revenue, Profit, Margins and rCPM. Don’t add amounts across currencies.

Client account comparison

Compare every Advertiser with Cost, Conversions, eCPA and ROAS for the last 30 days, worst eCPA first, one currency per row.

Research skills

StackAdapt next to Google Ads

For the last 30 days, put StackAdapt Cost, Conversions and eCPA by Campaign next to Google Ads Cost, Conversions and Cost / conv. by Campaign. Use one currency and tell me which campaigns convert cheapest.

Programmatic next to Meta

Compare my StackAdapt and Meta Ads accounts for the last 30 days: cost, impressions and conversions by platform and campaign.

Spend to pipeline

For the last 6 months, put StackAdapt Cost by Month next to HubSpot deals created and deal amount won by Month.

Site visits by channel

For the last 8 weeks, by Week and Campaign Channel, show Cost, GA4 Sessions, GA4 Engaged Sessions and GA4 Bounce Rate. Flag channels that spend without engaged sessions.

The research skills blend StackAdapt with your ad and CRM accounts, so connect Google Ads, Meta Ads or HubSpot in Porter first.

Automation skills

These run on a schedule and send what they find, while your StackAdapt campaigns stay as they are.

This month, by Date and Campaign, show Cost. Project month-end Cost from the last 7 days and tell me which campaigns to adjust in StackAdapt.
Who this is for

Who this is for

Teams that buy programmatic for several clients or channels get the most from Porter’s MCP. Agencies, programmatic buyers, B2B demand-gen marketers and video and CTV buyers use it to turn a StackAdapt question into a channel ranking, a fee review or a cross-channel answer in one chat.

Marketers who report on StackAdapt next to the channels it competes with for budget.

Agencies and freelancers

Your client isn’t asking about eCPM. They’re asking what programmatic cost them per conversion, fees included.

  • Every advertiser: one question across every client, with Advertiser as a column.
  • Fees and margins: fee lines, Revenue, Profit and Margins per advertiser in one table.
  • Monthly recap: the client’s numbers arrive by email on the 1st.
  • Currencies kept apart: each advertiser stays in its own Currency.

Programmatic buyers

  • Channels ranked: native, display, video and CTV by eCPA.
  • View-through checked: click and impression conversions side by side.
  • Frequency: campaigns that over-serve, flagged before the next flight.
  • Pacing: month-end Cost projected while there’s still time to adjust.

B2B and demand-gen marketers

  • Pipeline: StackAdapt spend next to HubSpot deals.
  • Search vs programmatic: eCPA next to Google Ads cost per conversion.
  • Site visits: GA4 Sessions StackAdapt attributes, by channel.
  • Weekly email: the dashboard arrives every Monday without anyone building it.

Video and CTV buyers

  • Completion by ad: Video Completion Rate and the quartile where viewers leave.
  • Cost per view: eCPV next to completions.
  • Viewability: viewed share of measured impressions, campaign by campaign.
  • A recut list: the ads to fix, ready before the next creative brief.

When to use StackAdapt’s own instead

You run StackAdapt only and want the results its MCP server pulls from internal endpoints, such as audience-level answers. StackAdapt’s server covers that job, and you can run it next to Porter.

Comparison

Official StackAdapt MCP vs. Porter

StackAdapt’s own StackAdapt MCP Server and Porter’s MCP both bring StackAdapt data into AI clients. StackAdapt’s MCP server docs describe read tasks only in the initial release, using curated internal endpoints. Porter covers StackAdapt reporting and adds every other channel, fee reviews, dashboards and scheduled emails.

StackAdapt’s MCP hands your AI StackAdapt’s own view of StackAdapt. Porter’s MCP hands it StackAdapt next to everything else you run.

Both are hosted, use one URL and change nothing in your campaigns. Here is where they part.

StackAdapt’s MCP or the StackAdapt API?

StackAdapt’s public API is for developers who build their own tools. Its MCP server and Porter’s MCP are for people who want answers in an AI chat.

  • StackAdapt’s API: GraphQL for building and managing campaigns in your own code, with a key from your account team.
  • StackAdapt’s MCP server: StackAdapt’s tools for AI clients, read tasks only for now.
  • Porter: StackAdapt results next to your other channels, in any MCP client.

And the third-party StackAdapt MCPs?

A few more turn up for this search, and they split two ways.

  • Directory listings: pages that describe StackAdapt’s own server or point to its URL.
  • Open-source servers: free to download and yours to host. You keep the API key and patch the server when StackAdapt changes its API.

Porter reads StackAdapt next to your marketing from one hosted server, starting on the free plan.

What it costs

Every Porter plan includes the StackAdapt MCP at no extra cost, the free-forever plan too. Porter bills Reporting per connected data source account, and each StackAdapt advertiser counts as one. StackAdapt questions are reads, so they use no automation credits. Full details are on Porter pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an official StackAdapt MCP?

Yes. StackAdapt announced general availability of its MCP Server on April 21, 2026, at https://mcp.stackadapt.com, with read tasks only in its first release. Porter’s StackAdapt MCP runs at https://mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp and adds your other channels, fee reviews and dashboards. You can connect both in Claude.

What is the StackAdapt MCP server URL?

Porter’s StackAdapt MCP server URL is https://mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp. StackAdapt’s own server uses https://mcp.stackadapt.com. Paste either into Claude, ChatGPT or another AI client as a custom connector. Porter’s URL also reaches your Google Ads, Meta and HubSpot accounts.

Is the StackAdapt MCP free?

Porter’s StackAdapt MCP is included in every Porter plan, the free-forever plan too. The free plan covers unlimited connected accounts, up to 30 days of history, 15 days in AI chats and 100 automation credits a month. Paid Reporting starts at $12.50 a month per data source account, billed annually, and the 14-day trial needs no card.

Can it pause or change my StackAdapt campaigns?

Porter reports on advertisers, campaign groups, campaigns and ads, and you pause, edit or re-budget them in StackAdapt as usual. That keeps your live campaigns exactly as you set them. Claude still tells you what to change, such as which channel to shift budget toward, with the numbers behind it.

Can an agency connect several StackAdapt advertisers?

Yes. One API key reaches every advertiser it can see, and you pick the ones Claude should read. Claude compares them in one answer with Advertiser as a column. Reporting is billed per connected advertiser, and the free plan connects unlimited accounts.

Where do I get a StackAdapt API key?

StackAdapt doesn’t offer a self-serve key page, so ask your StackAdapt account team for one. Paste the key in Porter, pick the advertisers and Claude starts reading them. If the key is rotated, paste the new one in Porter and your questions keep working.

How do I connect Claude to StackAdapt?

Install the Porter plugin from Claude Settings → Customize → Plugins. Add the portermetrics/porter marketplace, install Porter Metrics from the Directory and add your StackAdapt API key in Porter when the connector asks. Then ask Claude for your StackAdapt advertisers.

What is MCP? Is MCP an agent?

MCP is the Model Context Protocol, an open-source standard for connecting AI applications to external systems like StackAdapt. MCP isn’t the agent. Claude and ChatGPT are the agents, and Porter’s MCP is how they reach your StackAdapt advertisers.

Troubleshooting

Why don’t the numbers match StackAdapt?

Check the day boundaries first: StackAdapt labels each daily bucket in UTC, while a campaign can run in its own Campaign Timezone, so compare by week or month. Amounts stay in each advertiser’s Currency. Campaign State and Campaign Status filter differently, and conversions from every tracker are summed.

Why does Claude show no StackAdapt advertisers?

Re-enter the API key in Porter and select the advertiser. Claude shows nothing when the key was rotated or revoked, or the advertiser isn’t selected in Porter. On the free plan, ranges past the history limit also come back empty, so ask for the last 30 days first.

Why can’t Claude split results by audience, geo, device or hour?

Porter reads StackAdapt by advertiser, campaign group, campaign, ad, channel and day. Audience, geo, device, supply source and hourly splits live in StackAdapt’s insights reports. Ask Claude at the levels Porter reads, and it ranks and compares them for you.
