Capabilities

Report on Snapchat Ads from your favorite AI chat

Porter connects Snapchat Ads to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI clients through one MCP server. MCP is the Model Context Protocol, the open standard AI apps use to reach other tools. Ask which campaigns sell, which ads people watch to the end or what an app install costs per ad squad, and Claude answers from your live ad accounts.

Campaign reporting

  • 108 fields: 92 metrics and 16 dimensions, all in the Snapchat Ads fields list.
  • Three levels: campaigns, ad squads and ads, one row per day.
  • Delivery: Spend, Impressions, Paid Impressions, Earned Impressions, Swipe Ups and Swipe Up Rate.
  • Every ad account: each organization your Snapchat login belongs to, with Ad Account Name as a column.
  • Live dashboards: one link that stays current, built by Porter’s AI dashboards from the same chat.
  • Scheduled reports: a dashboard emailed to you or a client on the day and hour you pick.

Video and creative analytics

  • Watch depth: Video Views, Video Views (5s), Video Views (15s), the three quartiles and Video Completions.
  • Attention: Screen Time (ms) and Average Screen Time (ms), ad by ad.
  • Story ads: Story Opens and Story Completes next to Spend.
  • Social signals: Saves, Shares and Profile Clicks.

Conversions and app installs

  • 26 conversion events with their value: Purchases, Add to Cart, Start Checkout, View Content, Sign Ups and more.
  • Attribution you can name: 28 days after a swipe and 1 day after a view, Snapchat’s default, set on every request.
  • App installs: Installs, iOS Installs and Android Installs by ad squad.
  • Lead forms: Leads collected with Snapchat lead forms.

Snapchat next to your other channels

  • Paid social side by side: Snapchat Spend next to the TikTok Ads MCP and the Meta Ads MCP on the same server.
  • Swipes to sessions: Snapchat Swipe Ups beside GA4 Sessions, through the GA4 connector for Claude.
  • Purchases to orders: Snapchat Purchases Value next to your store’s revenue in one table.

One server, every ad account: Porter connects Snapchat Ads to the AI clients, fields and workflows paid social teams already use. The same Porter server URL works in Claude, ChatGPT and any MCP client that supports remote servers. Porter reads Snapchat’s Marketing API live, so each answer uses the stats as they stand when you ask.

Security and trust

Safety and security

Porter’s Snapchat Ads MCP signs in with Snapchat and reads delivery stats, names and statuses. Campaigns, ad squads, budgets, audiences and creatives stay exactly as you set them in Ads Manager. An AI client working through Porter sees only the ad accounts your Snapchat login can already see.

Safe for live accounts

Ask about spend, video and purchases on your busiest ad accounts. Porter reads the stats and leaves every campaign, ad squad and ad as it is, so a question in the chat never changes what’s running.

Reporting priced per ad account

Reporting is billed per connected Snapchat ad account. One more question about the same ad account adds nothing to the bill.

Snapchat sign-in, nothing to register

Connect with your Snapchat login in Porter. You skip the Marketing API app, the client ID and the per-app connector settings.

Your Snapchat access decides what Claude sees

Porter lists the ad accounts of every organization your Snapchat login belongs to in Business Manager. You pick the ones Claude can use, and nothing outside your own access shows up.

Attribution set on every request

Porter asks Snapchat for its default windows, 28 days after a swipe and 1 day after a view, on every question. A change of default never moves last month’s purchases.

Revoke access anytime

Disconnect Snapchat in Porter whenever you want. Access ends with the Snapchat connection you approved, and your ad accounts stay as they are.

Setup

How to set up Snapchat Ads MCP

Porter’s Snapchat Ads MCP uses one server URL in every AI client, plus a Snapchat sign-in you complete once in Porter. Claude takes Porter as a plugin or a custom connector. ChatGPT takes it through the Porter Metrics app or developer mode. Both reach the same Snapchat ad accounts.

Official Snapchat Ads MCP server URL

Snap hosts its own server, the Snapchat Ads MCP Server, at this URL:

https://mcp.snapchat.com/ads

Snap’s guide to connecting an agent gives each AI app its own Snap client ID, such as claude-snap-ads, set in the connector’s advanced options. Use Porter’s URL for Snapchat next to your other channels, with one sign-in for every AI app.

Guides and videos

Try this one once you’re connected:

Using Snapchat Ads, show Spend, Impressions and Swipe Ups by Campaign Name for the last 7 full days. Calculate CPM and the swipe-up rate yourself.
Skills

Snapchat Ads skills

Each Snapchat Ads skill in Porter’s MCP is a ready-made prompt for one job a paid social team does every week. A skill turns live ad account data into a cost check, a purchase ranking, a video diagnosis or a dashboard that arrives by email. Copy a prompt into Claude or ChatGPT, then change the dates, accounts or thresholds to fit yours.

Reporting skills

Connection test

List every Snapchat ad account I can access, then show Spend, Impressions and Swipe Ups by Campaign Name for the last 7 days.

What each campaign cost

For the last 30 days, by Campaign Name, show Spend, Impressions and Swipe Ups. Tell me which Currency the spend is in, calculate CPM and the swipe-up rate from the totals, and flag campaigns whose CPM is more than double the account median.

Campaigns that sell

For the last 14 days, list my campaigns with Spend, Purchases and Purchases Value. Work out cost per purchase and return on spend, and rank campaigns by return on spend.

Funnel drop-off

Show last week’s funnel by Campaign Name: View Content, Add to Cart, Start Checkout and Purchases. Work out the share that reaches each step and tell me where each campaign loses the most people.

Cost per app install

For the last 30 days, show my ad squads with Spend, Installs, iOS Installs and Android Installs. Work out cost per install by ad squad and tell me which platform is cheaper.

Weekly trend

For the last 8 weeks, by Date and Campaign Name, show Spend, Swipe Ups and Purchases. Total them by week and flag campaigns whose cost per purchase rose two weeks in a row.

Client account comparison

Compare every ad account by Ad Account Name with Spend, Purchases and Purchases Value for the last 30 days, and keep each account in its own Currency.

Creative skills

Ads people watch

For last month, by Ad Name, show Impressions, Video Views, Video Completions, Screen Time (ms) and Spend. Work out the completion rate, then list the five ads people watch to the end most and the five they skip.

Where viewers drop off

For those ten ads, add Video Views to 25%, Video Views to 50% and Video Views to 75% so I can see where people stop watching.

Format check

For the last 30 days, by Ad Type, show Spend, Swipe Ups, Video Completions and Purchases, and tell me which format brings purchases cheapest.

Snapchat next to TikTok

Compare my Snapchat Ads and TikTok Ads accounts for the last 30 days: Spend, conversions and cost per conversion by platform and campaign.

The Snapchat-next-to-TikTok skill blends both connectors, so connect TikTok Ads in Porter first.

Reports and dashboards skills

Live dashboard

Build a live Snapchat Ads dashboard for my ad account with the last 30 days of Spend, Impressions, Swipe Ups and Purchases by campaign, and a weekly trend.

Weekly report by email

Email that Snapchat Ads dashboard to me every Monday at 8 a.m.

Client report

Build one dashboard per client ad account with Spend, Purchases Value and cost per purchase, and email each to the address I paste next on the first of the month.

Swipes to sessions

Put Snapchat Swipe Ups by Campaign Name next to GA4 Sessions by Session campaign for the last 30 days, by week.

Export to Sheets

Send daily Spend, Impressions, Swipe Ups and Purchases by Campaign Name to a Google Sheet every morning.
Who this is for

Who this is for

Paid social teams who run Snapchat next to TikTok and Meta get the most from Porter’s MCP. Agencies, paid social managers, creative strategists and e-commerce and app marketers use it to turn a Snapchat question into a ranked report or a dashboard in one chat.

For marketers who report every week.

Agencies and freelancers

Your client isn’t asking about swipe ups. They’re asking whether Snapchat sells as well as TikTok.

  • Every client ad account: one question across the ad accounts your Snapchat login reaches.
  • Client reports: a live dashboard the client opens on Monday that nobody rebuilt.
  • One sign-in: the same connection works in Claude, ChatGPT and any MCP client.
  • Currency by account: each row says its currency, so totals never mix.

Paid social managers

  • Cost check: CPM and swipe-up rate from the totals, campaign by campaign.
  • Weekly trend: rising cost per purchase spotted two weeks in, not four.
  • Cross-channel: Snapchat next to TikTok and Meta in the same chat.
  • Weekly email: the dashboard arrives every Monday without anyone building it.

Creative strategists

  • Watch depth: completions and quartiles ad by ad.
  • Screen time: how long each ad held attention, next to its spend.
  • Format check: which Ad Type brings purchases cheapest.
  • Next brief: the ads to scale and the ones to replace, ranked.

E-commerce and app marketers

  • Purchases: Purchases Value and return on spend by campaign.
  • Funnel: View Content to Purchases, step by step.
  • App installs: cost per install by ad squad, on iOS and Android.
  • Store revenue: Snapchat next to GA4 sessions in one table.

When to use Snap’s own instead

You want Snap’s own diagnostics in the chat, or write access once Snap releases it. Snap’s server covers those jobs, and you can run it next to Porter.

Comparison

Official Snapchat Ads MCP vs. Porter

Snap hosts its own Snapchat Ads MCP Server, launched on August 3, 2026. Snap’s Ads MCP introduction calls this release read-only, with write access planned for a future release. Porter reads the same ad accounts and adds your other channels, dashboards and scheduled reports.

Snap’s MCP hands your AI one view of Snapchat. Porter’s MCP hands it the paid social job: every channel, the reporting, the dashboards and skills that already know the work.

Both are hosted, use one URL and sign in with Snapchat. Here is where they part.

Use Snap’s own for Snapchat on its own, in the apps Snap supports. Use Porter when Snapchat is one channel of several and the answer becomes a report someone else opens. Both servers can sit in the same Claude account.

If Snap’s server asks for an admin approval

That’s how Snap’s onboarding works, and nothing is wrong with your account.

  • Organization approval comes first: an Admin or Business Admin approves each AI app for the organization during sign-in.
  • Each member authorizes their own access: approval is per app and per person, never shared.
  • The client ID must match: a client ID from your own Marketing API app fails at authorization.
  • Porter needs a Snapchat sign-in only: connect the same ad accounts through Porter, paste Porter’s server URL and keep asking.

And the third-party Snapchat Ads MCPs?

Several other Snapchat Ads MCP servers rank for this search, and they split three ways. The job tells you which one you’re looking at.

  • Reporting connectors: they read your data into the chat and write nothing back.
  • Campaign controllers: they create and edit, usually on one or two platforms.
  • Open-source servers: free to download and yours to host. You keep the token and patch it when Snap changes the API.

Porter covers reporting across every channel from one hosted server, starting on the free plan.

What it costs

Every Porter plan includes the Snapchat Ads MCP at no extra cost, the free-forever plan too. Porter bills Reporting per connected data source account, and each Snapchat ad account counts as one. Claude’s Snapchat Ads questions are reads, so they use no automation credits. Full details are on Porter pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an official Snapchat Ads MCP?

Yes. Snap hosts the Snapchat Ads MCP Server at https://mcp.snapchat.com/ads, launched in August 2026 and read-only for now. Porter’s Snapchat Ads MCP runs at https://mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp and adds your other channels, dashboards and scheduled reports. You can connect both in Claude.

What is the Snapchat Ads MCP server URL?

Porter’s Snapchat Ads MCP server URL is https://mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp. Snap’s own server uses https://mcp.snapchat.com/ads, with a Snap client ID for each AI app. Paste either one into Claude, ChatGPT or another AI client as a custom connector.

Is the Snapchat Ads MCP free?

Porter’s Snapchat Ads MCP is included in every Porter plan, the free-forever plan too. The free plan covers unlimited connected accounts, up to 30 days of history, 15 days in AI chats and 100 automation credits a month. Paid Reporting starts at $12.50 a month per data source account, billed annually, and the 14-day trial needs no card.

Can I connect several Snapchat ad accounts?

Yes. One Snapchat sign-in lists every ad account of every organization your login belongs to, and you pick the ones Claude can use. Claude compares them in one answer with Ad Account Name as a column. Each ad account bills as one data source account, and the free plan connects unlimited accounts.

Does it include reach, frequency or audience breakdowns?

Porter gives Claude campaign, ad squad and ad totals by day that add up across days. Reach, frequency, unique users and age, gender, country or device breakdowns you read in Snapchat Ads Manager as usual. Porter leaves them out so totals never double count people.

How do I connect Claude to Snapchat Ads?

Install the Porter plugin from Claude Settings → Customize → Plugins. Add the portermetrics/porter marketplace, install Porter Metrics from the Directory and sign in with Snapchat when the connector asks. Then ask Claude for your Snapchat ad accounts.

What is MCP? Is MCP an agent?

MCP is the Model Context Protocol, an open-source standard for connecting AI applications to external systems like Snapchat Ads. MCP isn’t the agent. Claude and ChatGPT are the agents, and Porter’s MCP is how they reach your Snapchat ad accounts.

Troubleshooting

Why do the last two days change?

Snapchat finalizes a day 48 hours after it ends, so yesterday and the day before can still move. For a report that must not change, leave out the last two days. Porter returns Swipe Up Rate as a fraction, so 0.0213 means 2.13%; ask Claude to show percentages.

Why is a campaign missing from the answer?

Snapchat returns only campaigns, ad squads and ads that delivered in the dates you asked for. A campaign with no delivery in that range doesn’t show up, not even with zeros. Widen the dates to a range where you know the campaign ran.

Why did Claude lose access to Snapchat Ads?

Snapchat stopped accepting the sign-in, for example because someone revoked access. Sign in with Snapchat again in Porter to reconnect, and Claude picks up the same ad accounts with the same Porter server URL.
