Is there an official Amazon Vendor Central MCP?
Amazon hasn’t published a hosted Vendor Central MCP server as of November 2026. It offers the Selling Partner API, and every Vendor Central MCP builds on it. Porter’s Amazon Vendor Central MCP runs at https://mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp, connects with one approval on Vendor Central and puts vendor sales next to your other channels.
What is the Amazon Vendor Central MCP server URL?
Porter’s server URL is https://mcp.portermetrics.com/mcp. Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or another AI client as a custom connector, then ask the client to connect your Amazon Vendor Central account and approve Porter. The same URL also reaches your Seller Central, ad and store accounts in Porter.
Is the Amazon Vendor Central MCP free?
Porter’s Amazon Vendor Central MCP is included in every Porter plan, the free-forever plan too. The free plan covers unlimited connected accounts, up to 30 days of history, 15 days in AI chats and 100 automation credits a month. Paid Reporting starts at $12.50 a month per data source account, billed annually, and the 14-day trial needs no card.
Do I need an SP-API developer account?
Not with Porter. You approve Porter on Amazon’s Vendor Central consent page, and Porter handles the SP-API side. A server you build yourself needs a registered developer app, plus your own client ID, client secret and refresh token, before Amazon returns any vendor data.
Can I connect several marketplaces or vendor accounts?
Yes. Each connection is one vendor in one marketplace, and Porter offers all 23 Vendor Central marketplaces. Connect each one on its own, then ask about them together with the marketplace as a column. Each connection bills as one data source account, and the free plan connects unlimited accounts.
What is the difference between the Manufacturing and Sourcing views?
Manufacturing covers the ASINs you manufacture, whoever sourced them to Amazon. Sourcing covers the ASINs your vendor group sourced to Amazon directly. Porter keeps each in its own table: Manufacturing adds ordered revenue and ordered units, and both views have shipped revenue, shipped COGS, shipped units and customer returns.
What is MCP? Is MCP an agent?
MCP is the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI applications to tools like Vendor Central. MCP isn’t the agent. Claude and ChatGPT are the agents, and Porter’s MCP is how they reach your vendor sales reports.
Troubleshooting
Why are the last few days missing?
Amazon publishes a day of vendor sales about three days after it closes, so yesterday isn’t there yet. Porter reads up to the last day Amazon has published and tells you where it stopped, instead of showing empty days that look like zero sales. For today, ask for hourly sales.
Why doesn’t the sum of ASINs match the report total?
Amazon’s report carries its own account total, and for shipped revenue and shipped COGS it doesn’t always match the sum of the ASINs to the cent. Porter publishes the rows by ASIN, so the totals Claude gives are the sum of the ASINs. Compare like with like.
Why is the first long question slow?
Amazon serves daily vendor sales in reports of at most 15 days and builds each one before Porter can read it. A year of daily sales is 25 reports read one after another, and hourly sales go back 29 days. Shorter ranges answer faster.
