Is my ad account safe? Will connecting it to Claude get it banned?

No — using Porter doesn’t put your Google Ads account at risk, and you can verify it yourself. Porter connects through Google’s official Ads API (v23), never scraping, automated browsers or session cookies — the same access path as Google Ads Editor or Looker Studio. It’s a Google-approved app: the developer token Google issues only after reviewing the app lives on Porter’s servers, so API compliance is on us, not on your advertiser account. You connect via OAuth 2.0 with access limited to Google Ads and your basic profile — never Gmail or Drive — and you can revoke it anytime from your Google security settings. Most of what Porter does is read-only; every write action is flagged and asks for explicit confirmation, and any campaign it creates starts paused, so nothing spends without your approval. And every change appears in your Google Ads change history, so it’s fully auditable and reversible.

Both. Porter reads your data for reporting, and also writes back: it creates and edits campaigns, uploads creative and schedules posts through each platform’s official API.

Yes — there’s a free-forever plan, no credit card. Paid pricing depends on the product: Reporting is billed by the number of accounts you connect, with destinations mostly unlimited (Google BigQuery is the exception — an enterprise plan that needs a call). Automation — the tools for writing, research and creative — is billed by credits and tasks.
